1. International Day to End Obstetric Fistula 2025 

The International Day to End Obstetric Fistula is observed annually on May 23.






Theme: Her Health, Her Right : Shaping a Future Without Fistula.

Obstetric Fistula is severe childbirth injury resulting from prolonged, obstructed labour without timely medical intervention. It create a hole between the birth canal and the bladder or rectum, leading to continuous leakage of urine or feces.

The United Nation marked its first International Day to End Obstetric Fistula on 23 May 2013.

2. Kanak Budhwar Shines : Gold in 10 m Air Pistol at ISSF Junior World Cup 


Shooter kanak wins India's first gold medal at the International Shooting Sports Federation Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany.
Kanak secured the top position with a score of 239.0, outperforming Moldova's Anna Dulce a two-time Olympics and regning European Championship, who scored 237.3.



  This victory marks India's First gold at the tournament and a significant milestone in Kanak's shooting career.
Kanak's father Sudhir Singh Budhwar introduced her to the sport during business trip to Thailand.
Kanak, the silver medalist at the junior world championships in Lima last year.
• Kanak began her shooting journey five years ago at Abhinandan Shooting Academy in Rohtak under coach Sandeep Nehra.

3. Government Grants 4%  Reservation for Persons with Disabilities in Allocation of Central Govt Residential Accommodation 

The government announced a four percent reservation in the allotment of central government housing to persons with Disabilities, making a substantial move towards equity, dignity, and accessibility in public service.

• The landmark step was taken by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal in move towards inclusive development.
• In alignment with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, the Directorate of Estates has issued an Office Memorandum to ensure fair access to central government residential accommodation for persons with Disabilities.
The policy is expected to offer greater stability and dignity to people with Disabilities by recognising and addressing their specific needs within the public housing system.
